![]() ![]() The fonts are cached as long as there is space and purged when there is need to save a new font. Downloaded fonts are stored in cache and available to use in other Office apps. Yes, you need an internet connection to see the cloud fonts, choose them, or download missing ones – the first time. That’s an impractical amount to store on a mobile device so the cloud service downloads fonts as needed. There are more than 700 cloud fonts currently available, totalling more than 650MB in file size. The same is true when the file is opened with the PowerPoint mobile app (Android or iOS) or PowerPoint Online. When someone views the file with Microsoft Office 365 or Office 2019, PowerPoint downloads missing fonts from the font service and the file renders the same as it was authored, without embedding. When you apply one of these fonts PowerPoint downloads it in the background and applies it to your text. If you have Microsoft 365, you’ll see them in your font list indicated by a cloud and arrow icon. Note: Office 2019 is a standalone version and will not get regular updates with new features.Ĭloud fonts are available to Microsoft 365 subscribers on all platforms and devices. If you have any influence or say in the matter, upgrade to Microsoft 365! The subscription is well worth it for all the new features in PowerPoint, including font availability. If your company is using PowerPoint 2010, 2013, or 2016, for instance, you’ll want to stick to one of the font families listed at the end of that post. The Citrix website is completely impossible for anyone who doesn't work for Citrix to use and Citrix seem to be completely incapable of seeing their product miasma through the mind of someone coming to the Citrix universe for the first time. ![]() Citrix make so many products and it is absolutely impossible to deduce what they all do, how (or if) they work together or how to use them. The impenetrable Citrix website is anathema to the slickness and clarity that is Apple. Then there was the Citrix support or rather lack of it. After that it never worked until you manually started the plug-in which was buried deep in the recesses of Mac OS. It was so convoluted under the old online plug-in you had to make sure you had the right version of JAVA installed just to run the installer. The main difference seems to be the installation and set-up. As has already been pointed out, this replaces the old Citrix Online Plug-in. ![]()
